Twenty-first century capabilities
consist of those capabilities, abilities, and learning dispositions that have
been recognized as necessary for achievement in twenty-first century societies
and offices through the means of educators, corporate leaders, academia, and
government agencies. It is part of a growing global movement focused on the
skills college kids need to understand in practice for achievement in a rapidly
changing virtual society. Many of these abilities are also related to deeper
learning, which is primarily based entirely on the introduction of skills such
as analytical reasoning, complex problem solving, and teamwork. These abilities
range from conventional learning abilities where they are now no longer fully
knowledge-based general material.
In
this twenty-first era, this sector already has the idea of society 5.0 or
super smart society. Previously we applied a 4.0 society where we could access
our online world via the internet with the help of searching, retrieving, and
studying records or data. Now diera5.0 all people, objects and structures join
the digital world. The replacement made with the aid of using Society 5.0 is to
archive all human sports with synthetic intelligence so that one can create Big
Data, which can beat human abilities. At some interval of the year, people also
experience developments such as institution or era of birth year, age, and
location. This era started from the conventional era that began in 1922 to 2021
(now), namely the era of the GEN-Z institution. In every era, humans need
adaptation to continue to develop following civilization, and currently in the
5.0 era, there are several capabilities needed, namely:

of digital literacy and its benefits for education
Digital literacy means the ability to understand and use information in various forms from a very wide variety of sources accessed through computer devices. Digital literacy activities in a student-centered classroom are ideal for bringing the real world into the classroom, making the learning experience more relevant and authentic. Many teachers and students alike indicated that they believed technology in the classroom was helpful. students are not only taught in context but learn to function in their new environment, whether they are making a purchase, getting an identity card, looking for a new job, or making a doctor's appointment. The lesson objectives are about what students can ultimately do rather than just what they know (Savignon, 1983). Digital literacy provides benefits in the learning process because students and teachers are able to access information easily and quickly. Not only that, digital literacy can also be called an alternative to paper media in traditional learning models.

In this era, the digital literacy skills that
we must have are :

on a deep expertise of various values and a worldview.
· Character. Traits
which include grit, tenacity,
perseverance, and resilience; along a preference to make studying an critical a part of living.
• Why should we master digital literacy
skills?
In this era, digital literacy is very
important to assist students in teaching student skills both academically and
non academically. As a teacher, of
course we need skills in using technology so that we are able to create an easy
and effective learning process. When we
are able to use digital literacy, it will certainly provide several advantages
such as being able to use technology to help them remember new
information. They can watch videos or
create their own videos to show understanding.
Students can create infographics to show the process. They can even use social media to get answers
to their questions and be reliable with people around the world. By teaching digital literacy to students,
they are prepared to enter adulthood and be successful in their careers. This is part of being a good digital citizen.
• How could we improve our digital
competencies?
There are many ways to improve our digital
literacy skills. We can get a lot of
information by reading books, starting to have a habit of reading books to find
the latest information. We can also
search for information via the internet and social media. Because in this era, any information can be
obtained easily and quickly. To further
accelerate the mastery of digital literacy we can also attend seminars or
workshops and also a training to make it easier for us to share information
with the public.
